This workshop will discuss in detail how a Wyoming Catholic College successfully avoided federal student loans. WCC started in 2007 with its first graduating class in 2011. Since its inception, the college has refused Title IV funds. After eligibility was achieved in 2014, the board re-affirmed this decision.  In lieu of Title IV, the college found a private partner in Notre Dame Federal Credit Union (NDFCU) to serve as the issuer and servicer of their student loans. This workshop will walk through the process of the general structure of the agreement as well as details regarding its implementation.

Learning Objectives: Attendees will be able to...

  • Determine that Title IV is not the only option for funding;
  • Analyze other alternatives available in the marketplace;
  • Discuss positive externalities of not participating in Title IV

Presented By:

  • Paul McCown, Chief Financial Officer, Wyoming Catholic College
  • David Morgan, Chief Credit Officer, Notre Dame Federal Credit Union
