In this workshop, we will discuss the new Department of Labor regulations including:

  • The new minimum salary requirement and how it affects employers,
  • The changes in the “highly compensated employees” threshold, and
  • Using non-discretionary bonuses and incentive payments to satisfy salary levels.

This workshop will also provide recommendations for preparing and complying with these new regulations in effect January 1, 2020.

Learning Objectives: SESCO will provide a complete overview of wage hour regulations based on their 70 year history in assisting employers comply with these complex laws. Attendees will be able to:

  • Interpret, prepare for and comply with new Department of Labor regulations,
  • Describe and apply “White Collar” exemptions,
  • Avoid typical compliance problems,
  • Assess alternate pay plan options, and
  • Analyze the most common wage hour violations and avoid liability issues.
