MALONE UNIVERSITY, a Christian University for the Arts, Sciences, and Professions, is conducting a search for a VICE PRESIDENT for FINANCE & BUSINESS AFFAIRS. Under the direction of the University President, the VP of Finance & Business will act as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the University in providing strategic direction and oversight of the accounting and financial planning functions of the University including, but not limited to, budget management, financial planning and reports, risk management, and the fiscal integrity and long-term success of the University. The CFO will ensure all aspects of accounting and business practices, policies, and procedures are in alignment with government regulations and University guidelines. The CFO will also provide leadership and oversight for the Business Office, Human Resources, Physical Plant, Safety and Security, and other auxiliary services. As a member of the President’s Cabinet, the CFO will work closely with other cabinet members and with the Board of Trustees. In cooperation with the Finance Committee, the CFO provides leadership and guidance over finance and business affairs while maintaining the integrity, policies, and procedures of Malone University. Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred; CPA is desired. Minimum 10 years upper level financial leadership experience in higher-education required. Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills required. Ability to effectively lead and motivate personnel in a constructive, positive manner.
